Auto Shipping 101: Pickup Windows and You

In this auto shipping industry of ours, there’s a term floating around out there that a lot of people might not fully understand right away, and that’s okay because it’s kind of tricky in how it works. In the car transport industry there is such a thing as a pickup window, which is the length of time between when you book your shipment with you auto shipper and when the carrier actually shows up at your house. Typically it takes shippers a few days to find a carrier in your area, and then a couple more for the carrier to get to you, so your pickup window will typically be anywhere from one to seven, maybe even one to ten days, depending on your specific route.
